"Where do I start? First, the smoke alarm didn’t work, because it was hanging off the wall, mud on the bathroom floor , a little girl’s barrette in the bed and the kicker, 3 inch metal hooks and leads (used for catching snapping turtles) were in the dresser drawers! Obviously, no one checked the room after it was “cleaned”. Staff were not concerned, just said “you have to check with Expedia to get a refund!” Wow, just wow!"
"A great stop of I-70. Drove this many times and feel this is the most comfortable stop along the way to Denver and they provide an excellent breakfast! Family owned service"
"Hotel is really cool, room was clean and had that cool old vibe, only thing id like to see is a bigger TV, my computer screen is bigger and volume was bad,im sure everyone heard me and my woman all doen the halls if you know what I mean.close to lake so it was perfect, I will definitely be staying again"
"It is a very COZY room!! Everything was exceptional, the only thing that I would change is if it were closer to where I worked so I could stay there each trip I made!! Thank you VERY much for allowing me to stay at your facility!!"
"This place really needs to do some serious maintenance and repairs. The first thing I noticed was the missing smoke detector. I found it and the batteries on a shelf above the clothes rack. The lady in the office told me she had to take it down because it was beeping due to low batteries. Two AA batteries should not be too hard to find. This would seem to be a serious safety issue.
All of the bathroom fixtures were corroded and covered with hard water deposits. The on/off valve in the bathtub/shower was almost totally inoperable. It worked by pulling out or pushing it in. Almost had to use a prybar to pull it out and a hammer to push it in.
The staff was friendly and helpful when they were present. They seemed to leave frequently and leave a note in the office with a number to call if they were needed.
I have noted the most serious discrepancies I saw. There were numerous others. If there were any other motels in town I would definitely not stay at this one. A friend that came into town from Oklahoma for the same reunion as myself took one look at the room she got and checked back out and returned to Oklahoma."
