"We were originally booked in Lucerne, but after a less-than-ideal hotel experience, we made a last-minute switch to Villa Honegg—and it did not disappoint. Perched high on a hill, the staff greeted us with warmth and impeccable service from the moment we arrived. The views were breathtaking, and even our mountainside room felt serene and luxurious.

"Boutique Hotel Schluessel was perfect for a remote getaway. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean and there are lots of amenities including a self service mini bar, hairdryers and drinking water faucets in the rooms. "We had a fabulous stay in the Stanserhorn Room from June 20 -25, 2025. The room was large, comfortable, with a balcony and spectacular lake views. The bathroom was modern. Staff was friendly and competent. Breakfast was decent, drinks were lovely, dinner was good too.

"Fantastic stay, in a beautiful location with easy transport links. Room was perfect with an amazing lake view. Lovely food and service in the bar area, but had some issues with dining room in main restaurant, this was addressed effectively at reception. Overall a fantastic stay."

"This hotel is outside the city of Lucerne but only 20 minutes away. It is nice and peaceful, which was our preference. The Mt. Pilatus train station in Alpnachstadt is just a few minutes away. We got to enjoy both sunset and sunrise from our balcony.
The staff were friendly and professional and the room was clean and uniquely charming but with modern conveniences. The restaurant served excellent local favorite dishes.
We look forward to another stay in the coming years.

"This was an excellent hotel , we had a family room , which consisted of a separate single bed and a king bed in the very large lounge area , and 2 separate bathrooms , the balconies looked out onto both the lake and sideways at the hills , the only thing it didn’t have was air conditioning, but they did provide fans in both rooms , it was over 30 degrees for our visit , so not sure if that’s normal , we used the restaurant for one evening meal and the food was lovely , and one member of staff...
