"Positives: The property is beautiful - right on the coast. Our room has a beautiful view of the sea, the harbour and the coast up to Koh Nang-Yuan. The staff in the restaurant were great and so was the food and the price. The pool (although a little worn) was fantastic for us with our toddler. The beach is lovely too - although no umbrellas which does seem a bit odd. The room itself is rustic but actually that is part of its charm. "One of my favourite places I stayed while in Thailand for a month. Very clean and I loved my private room with the balcony. Great breakfast and the free beach shuttle was great. I did get woken up by nearby cockerels every morning but I didn't mind. The hostel didn't have a social vibe while I was there but I think that was more down to the people who were staying there at the time."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses.
