"They, the staff, exceeded my expectations . Courteous, helpful, kind and pleasant are words that I would use to describe them. Everyone greets you with a bow and civility, right down to the hardest workers in the hotel. For that, i will surely come back. My stay at the Prince Hotel East was worth every yen and then some. I originally was suppose to stay at the Sunvalley Hotel, in Shiga Kogen. I lost my reservation there due to payment issues. I was hesitant about coming to the Prince Hotel. It was my first time. The room i stayed in was probably one of the best i have seen for the price. The next time I am in Shiga Kogen, i am staying at the Prince Hotel East, without a doubt."

"Its more a backpacks accommodation then a Hotel. The food provided in the morning was a joke at best. A doggy bag with bread buns that you have to heat you your self. Thats it. Rooms are old and the bathroom smells like s&@$. The two young staff were helpful and speck english. The public bath was good as well. The place needs to be refurbished into the 20th century. Sorry to say that. We read some comments by other explaining that it was traditional and all that but its very old and dated. Food sucked. "

"Beyond the Room being perfect for us two, spacious, clean and beautiful views. The staff at T Hotel Ryuoo were excellent at hosting us and helping create an easy and seamless vacation, from shuttles to reservations. The restaurant staff was especially attentive and want to give a big thank you to that department. We felt comfortable in the space, highly recommended and we would definitely come back."

"Fuel smell in the room, in the corridor, made me ill. Even after opening the window, the smell lingers. The room heater has a timer that went off early morning and woke me up. Unless the heater's fuel smell is rectified, I will not stay here again. I stayed 2 times, and each time its the same fuel smell issue. Not again. "

"Upon arriving during the two-hour check-in window, I was puzzled as to if anyone worked here. I walked in the front, no one. Went around back, just a couple ski resort patrons. I was sure I was in the right building from the photos, but it looked more like an abandoned building with some squatters in the form of skiers. "

"Staff and room were exceptional. Pillows were a bit hard but you can ask for softer ones. Main problem was lack of ammenities tho there's a drug store a 10 minute walk away from it to buy some."
