"This is my very first stay at this hotel & I was told it's under a new ownership for the last 6-7 years. The Front Desk & the Housekeeping crew were very friendly, courteous & attentive. I was given two free 500ml bottles drinking water per day which was very helpful. The bedroom & bathroom linens were very clean without any stains. The air conditioner was perfect for me, but the elevator failed for two and a half days due to lack of spare parts. I was on the 3rd floor, and the Front...

"Its a sound enough hotel for the business traveler but otherwise pretty ordinary. It's in a shabby part of town with no local ameities or attractions worth the bother. The bar is dismal and the restaurant poor. The staff do a good job of making the best of the little they have to wotk with."

"They didnt want us there, and muttered distasteful things about my companion. Next the checkin "process" was do it yourself. It is superior to the Shangri-La (where the rooms are shoeboxes and the feeling is sterile) and Mt Lavinia (which seems too obsequious to a colonial past!). The lobby area is great and I felt like spending a lot of time there. The vibe feels more high end Sri...

"The room was nice but there was cockroaches in our bed"

"Right next to a train station. Sleep is not easy."

"Good"

"Would recommend. Good location. Nice and quiet area. Room was very clean. Nice hotel overall"

"Excellent staff. Comfortable rooms. Could do with a little reno on the rooms and bath rooms as they are a little dated."
