I stayed at this hotel for five nights. There were several aspects of my stay that I enjoyed, but unfortunately there were also a number of areas where the hotel fell below expectations.
Positive Points
The location is excellent. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from the beach, and it is possible to walk all the way into the centre of Málaga along the beautiful promenade. The famous Miramar Hotel is also only a five to ten-minute walk away. The transfer from the airport took approximately 30 minutes, which was very convenient.
There are several beach bar restaurants nearby, and the ones I visited were all very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Whenever I needed a taxi, reception arranged one quickly and efficiently. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, with a reasonable selection of food available.
Areas for Improvement
While I appreciate that this is a three-star hotel, there are certain standards that should be maintained regardless of a hotel’s rating, and cleanliness is one of them.
Unfortunately, the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly before my arrival. There were signs of previous guests in the shower area, including hair that had not been removed. The hot water was also not working initially and had to be reported, although this issue was resolved promptly.
On arrival, complimentary bottles of water were provided, but these were not replenished during my stay. On one occasion, the coffee capsules were not replaced, meaning I was
