"We recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Modesto and unfortunately did not have a good experience. One of the biggest issues was the constant train noise throughout the night — it genuinely felt like trains were running nonstop, making it very difficult to sleep. We were not aware of how noticeable the noise would be when booking. What made the stay even more disappointing was the condition of the bedding. We noticed what appeared to be mold inside the comforter, which was extremely concerning and unacceptable from a cleanliness and hygiene standpoint. While the staff was courteous, the lack of sleep and concerns about the bedding quality overshadowed the experience. Hopefully the hotel addresses these issues for future guests."

"Check-in was efficient. Staff did their jobs but may want to be cordial to make customers feel welcome. Parking was a bit of a bother because the property is spread out with parking mainly on one side, making the walk to most rooms quite a bit. We had a family of 4 and needed to have breakfast separately. I needed to get out early in the morning with my son for a swim competition, while my wife and daughter would want to eat breakfast later. When they gave us a single coupon for 4 people during check-in, I asked that they give us two coupons for 2 people each, which they wouldn't do. That seemed very silly. Next morning 2 of us had the breakfast and had to give away the coupon while the security person made a note. Other 2 had to eat later without carrying a coupon solely trusting that the security person will remember per the note. Such unnecessary anxiety is not desirable for guests."

"The front desk receptionist, I believe her name was Natalie, set the tone for our overnight stay for a local sports event. The hotel iwas clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was also a Starbucks and gas station within walking distance. I definitely will stay here again if we are in the area."
