"De eerste ervaring bij aankomst was slecht. Zo leken ze verrast door onze aankomst en werd er wat apathisch gereageerd. Vanwege de regentijd was het hotel bovendien niet in staat handdoeken te leveren (want die konden niet worden gedroogd) zodat we die zelf moesten kopen. Verder was agv het regenseizoen het beddengoed in de eerste nacht zo vochtig dat we er niet op konden slapen. "The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are ok, not luxury. In some rooms WiFi is very weak. Don’t get the $25 dinner at the restaurant. It was the worst dinner on our whole trip."

"Our stay at AMEG was fabulous. Staff were courteous and friendly. The food was outstanding and the junior suite gave us lots of room to spread out and relax. We used AMEG for a base to do day trips to Kilimanjaro including a day hike and back to the Mandura Huts and to the Materuni Village and Waterfall. AMEG even arranged a taxi drive into town for me to get more Shillings at the bank. If you ask they will let you know the correct spots to see Mt. Kilamanjaro from the lodge. We would highly recommend staying here."
