"The room smelled dirty. The hotel smelled dirty. Part of it appeared to be permanent residents which was disconcerting. It’s in disrepair. We were sent to our room and when we opened the door there was construction going on in the room! Had to make a trip back down to the front desk, was assigned another room. Entered the room and it smelled filthy. We stayed in it 5 minutes and checked out! Not staying in a dump like this! Hotels.com rated it a 3.5 star with “Excellent” reviews. What a joke!! It’s a 2 star at best. We knew we were outside the cancellation time for a refund but no amount of money could make us stay there. If we lose our payment, then we lose it. We quickly searched for a nearby hotel and booked at Comfort Suites a few miles away. What a lovely hotel! Don’t even consider this hotel, stay at the Comfort Suites up the road!
