"We had two rooms for a two night stay. The air conditioning in one room (46) was excellent, however the air conditioning in the second room (47) was minimal or not functioning. The front desk had a look and unlocked more controls on the thermostat but that didn’t make a difference. No other rooms available. The staff were friendly and tried their best with what they had. Something new to us at breakfast was the basket of eggs. I discovered after the fact that you have to cook them yourself....

"To be fair, this once elegant property is in a great location and the breakfast buffet & morning restaurant staff were excellent. Also, we were there in the middle of a severe heat wave, so staff and systems were strained to the max. Housekeeping staff were VERY NICE, but Front Desk - not so much. Our room's A/C fan was on maximum and it simply wasn't able to keep up. By Day2 of our stay, water began dripping from the ceiling steadily - we had to physically move our bed away from it. "Very clean and mostly friendly staff. However there were a few things that could have been better. First, there were barely any outlets in the room, one in the bathroom and only one in the main room. There were two regular usb's (typeC) so if you had a newer iphone or laptop you could not charge (they are type A) unless you knew and brought usb c adapters. They gave us extension cords which caused a tripping hazard when used across the room. The air conditioner could not be adjusted in the room,...

"Charming hotel in the perfect location! Will dream of coming back! The view out of our window was the papal palace. The quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in even though it is city center. I am sure that was because of the cut stone walls. The breakfast buffet was good and worth the price. But there are plenty of dining options within easy walking. Our train was leaving later in the day so they were happy to hold our luggage after we checked out. Our stay really was perfect!"

"The location is excellent for exploring the historic area of Avignon. It is also very convenient to the Avignon Center train station. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and I would recommend it. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is very welcoming."
