"Nice hotel, but there was a strong perfume smell in our room that gave me a rotten headache. I had to take allergy meds the whole time I was staying there.. Everything still reeked of perfume when I got home, so I had to wash everything and had to air out my suitcase for quite a while when I got home.
The self parking was quite a distance away, so we used their valet parking instead. Aside from costing more and having to remember to call 15 minutes ahead, valet parking worked out well. The workers were friendly and our car was always ready at the time they said.
The hotel is also close to the city bus line to get into downtown (ticket machines are in each little station) and there is a frequent shuttle for getting around within the Cleveland Clinic
The restaurant in the hotel had a nice setting, but the breakfast food was mediocre, especially considering the exorbitant cost for the poor quality food. .The “scrambled” eggs were overcooked, hard, and dried out. I suspect they cooked them in a large pan in the oven. The “scone” had surprisingly large chunks of dry flour in it. The whole meal was dried out and disgusting.
After the first day we got the warmed up egg sandwiches from the little coffee shop in the lobby by the restaurant. They were moist,, hot, and delicious. The yogurt parfaits were delicious as well. The woman who worked there was always cheery and efficient. Highly recommend!
They also have a nice 24/7 grab-n-go food area which was helpful."
