There was a strong foul odor that smelled like cigarette smoke, and the room felt very stuffy and congested. Since arriving, I also experienced itching and discomfort. We ended up not staying and tried contacting the host, but unfortunately were unsuccessful. However, we contacted Evolve and informed them of the situation.
