"Really lovely stay at the Angus. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff are all friendly, and attentive. Spa was quite basic (pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi) but still lovely to be able to go for a swim. However, the area round the pool and spa needs some maintenance as there was plaster broken off walls, missing tiles and the roof has obviously had some kind of issue. "Lovely place to stay"

"A beautiful, elegant country estate with a wonderful breakfast. Our room had a lovely view of the river. Waiters in the dining room were overly busy at dinner and appeared quite irritable and stressed."

"Staff was very helpful. We had a late check in and they were there to assist. Breakfast was a plus we were not expecting and having a restaurant/bar onsite was very convenient. One downside was that the wifi was not working in our room; but, they did state in advance that not all rooms could reach the wifi because of how old the building was. For a small historic town the room was perfect. Our room had a great view on to a courtyard."

"What was once one of my favoritehotels seems to be falling on hard times. Common area carpets are stained, bathroom shower stall had moldy caulk and 1 of the 2 elevators was broken for the entire stay. Staff was friendly and helpful."
