"Even though i had booked a ground floor studio we were placed upstairs because the manager thought it would be better for a family! I had booked the ground floor as I have mobility issues! The stairs were made of stone & had worn to different shapes which I found very difficult. We complained & had some money returned but this did not help with problems with the stairs! "We had an excellent stay for 5 nights at Batis Beach Hotel. Our room had two balconies, and one had a partial view of the beach. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach and it's located close to many restaurants and shops. We only ate breakfast at the hotel once, but it was great. "We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete."

Coffee machine worked well and the options for coffee were fantastic. Plenty of parking near hotel, and a nice village and great beach in walking distance were of course what we came for. "So ein schönes, kleines, gemütliches und charmantes Hotel. Evi und Sally haben uns toll umsorgt. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war ein Highlight. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigeren Seitengasse der schönen Altstadt. Hinweis: man kann mit dem Auto oder Taxi nicht ans Hotel fahren. Daher vorher prüfen, an welcher Stelle man aussteigt."

"Building, courtyard with pool, and rooms were very nice. Bathrooms however were not well maintained and showers had issues such as not having a mount on the wall to hold the shower head and not having shower curtain and plugged drains. The bathrooms desperately need to be updated. The breakfast was ok but other hotels we stayed at in Crete had much nicer breakfast selections. "
