"I booked this hotel through expedia and did not realize they had a no cancellation within 24 hours which is fine however I was suppose to drive to vancouver the day of the reservation and the roads were closed due to a forest fire on Hiway 1 , the only alternative route was 5 more hours. "Even though the property is located on a major road, our room was very quiet. Exceptionally clean. All newly renovated and very comfortable. Our room was located on the second floor, which may be difficult for some guests because I’m not certain there is an elevator. Beautiful common area with flowers and places to sit and relax. "Check in was easy. The front door and the room had a key code so there was no need for keys or key cards. There is a little shoe storage area when you walk in for your shoes. The property left us snacks and water for our room when we checked in, and even offered additional bottles of water the next day. "This hotel is unique, sort of a hidden gem tucked away. You would not think there was a hotel there. Once in the property, everything is out of place but in place. Very nostalgic. Once in the room it felt like home. It had a homely feeling to it. The room felt like my own. Great spot"

"The first room had a lot of hair on the bed. The second room also had hair. You had to lay the bed yourself with the sheets they gave you. The next day you put up the cleaning sign. The staff only arranged the bed. They did not change the sheets. They did not clean the bathroom. They did not change the towels used. They did not replenish the courtesy articles (soap and shampoo)."
