"I booked this property and paid direct to the property. I received confirmation of payment by email. I drove to the property expecting a code for the key box. I did not get one. I tried phoning the letting company, no response, email no response, what'sapp no response. I contracted Hotels.com who also pursued. no response. I have lost my money and had to find alternative accomodation at a higher cost. do NOT book to stay at this property. it is a scam "

"Nice place, clean, mattress was not for me at all also takes deposit and then doesn't resond to messages acts like its a computer generated reply on whatsapp so costs an extra 100"

"I will never use host and stay again. Nothing but trouble from start to finish. Aggressive tones in their answers and took a payment for £200 that wasn’t authorised and they can’t issue an invoice for. Shocking service albeit the property was lovely. "

"Amazing little place, perfect location. 10 minute walk to a really nice pub where we had a lovely meal for Valentines. 20 minute walk the other way and your in to Holmfirth. Close to some amazing walks and countryside. The cottage is decorated really nicely, modern and cosy and had everything we needed. Very dog friendly, good outside space. "

"Location was good but communication was very poor. We were unable to access the property at 3.10 as the housekeeper was still there. Although not sure what he had been doing as the outside bins were overflowing, grass overgrown (front & back) and the house was dirty! We cleaned the bath ourselves, only 1 toilet roll for 6 adults for 2 nights and the patio door was not securely fitted. It was a very disappointing stay as felt like dirty, student accommodation with limited equipment! "
