"Parking was difficult. Apparently, our room didn't qualify for driveway parking; we had to park on the street. Got a good spot upon arrival, but we were hesitant to drive for fear of losing a parking spot on a street with few first come street parking. Nice elderly ladies, one told me she was in her 80's, cleaned and stocked continental breakfast. Easy to talk with, but kept telling me how exhausted she was having to work. "The property needs a lot of updating. The elevators were out of order many times during our stay resulting in our family, including a child with an ankle fracture, having to walk up 8 flights of stairs multiple times. The bathrooms have no ventilation. There is no furniture on the balconies. Overall, I will not be staying at Tides again. "

"Booker beware! They overbooked and when we arrived we were informed they didn’t have our reservation available. We had pre paid through Expedia had nowhere to stay and it was an absolute nightmare trying to get a refund. Shaunte at the front desk was incredibly rude. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Even though it may be inexpensive, please please don’t book this hotel it is not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere. "

"Everyyhing here is broken, elevator, ice, pool all out of order. Room was clean but bathroim had stains everywhere. Shower valve was puy in wrong so only a luke warm shower both days. People hanging out in parking lit at 4am when i left."

"The TV didn't work, couldn't call front desk because phone didn't work. They never came to fix like they said they would after we waited several hours for them. The AC never fully cooled the room. The room had a musty odor. The bathroom had a different odor. Location was best part We always stay in Mt Pleasant due to central location to IOP, Folly and Downtown Charleston. "We did not eat breakfast or any meal at this property. The lobby smelled like fried cafeteria food at all times. The property needed an update! Old tv without the ability to stream. Shower didn’t work well, toilet got stopped up and the hallway was very LOUD! we could hear any time someone opened or closed their doors esp housekeeping. For the price, I expected cleaner and updated accommodations! I will not stay here again "

"Our experience at French Quarter Inn was fabulous!! We had two spacious rooms that were very clean and were serviced twice a day. We were amazed by the amenities. The continental breakfast and nightly wine and cheese were included. The staff hospitality was the best part. The front desk ladies greeted us with warm welcomes and glasses of champagne. Please don’t change a thing at French Quarter Inn because we can’t wait to come back! "
