"It is a fantastic place in a great location. Upon entry, we were impressed; obviously we had made a great choice. The house was clean & freshly prepared. We were there to ride the Flying Scotsman, so parking was not an issue & it was a 2-minute walk from the station (up a cobble path). The village has more than we realized. The Co-op closes at 4PM. "We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again."

"This was my first visit to York and the Ryedale cottages was the best place to stay while in the area. The house is lovely with comfortable beds, clean linens, and loads of games to play as a family. There are miles of walking trails and some cheeky sheep to see up the road. The view from the front of the house was beautiful and the hosts were so lovely. We arrived with a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and a Victoria sponge on the table waiting for us.
