The room was spotless, with wonderfully cool air conditioning, fresh towels, and a lovely walk‑in shower. I especially appreciated how safe it felt, the owner provided a remote key for the gate so we could come and go securely. The bed was incredibly comfortable and of great quality, making it easy to rest before our travels....

"The main issue with this hotel is that the staff allowed other guests who were there in large groups to hang around outside their rooms on the balconies, playing music, talking, drinking, smoking, partying meaning that you had no privacy in your room and this went on until 11.00pm. The reception was closed at this time of night and I asked the night porter to quiet them down and he was reluctant. "They are here on holiday to have a good time, perhaps you should ask to move your room" was his...

"The lady might have been the nicest I have ever encountered at a hotel during my years of travelling! The accommodation was very nice for that price point. Was just looking for a place for a good deal with clean sheets, and it was exactly that. There’s no front desk there so it’s best to message the property before arriving. I didn’t realize this until I got there, so walked down the road to KFC to get wifi and message. She replied within minutes, then came and picked us up in her car and drove...

"L'Oiseau de l'Océan was an amazing discovery. It was clean, well-kept and the staff were very helpful. The shuttle was a nice touch ensuring that trips to the beach and Cascavelle were easy. I also enjoyed the on-site sauna. My only complaint is that the wifi was weak and to make calls, I needed to step outside my room. I didn't mind much because I was on vacation and so didn't need to work. Special commendation goes to Jessica and Richard for going above and beyond."

"Wir haben das Coco Villa in Mahébourg vom 26.05. bis 27.05. besucht und das Hotel hauptsächlich wegen der Nähe zum Flughafen für eine Nacht gebucht. Das Hotel ist insgesamt schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Unser Zimmer war jedoch sauber und sehr einfach eingerichtet. Eine Klimaanlage war vorhanden und besonders schön war der direkte Meerblick inklusive Balkon. Auch das Badezimmer war eher schlicht, aber sauber. Das Duschen war allerdings ein kleines Abenteuer, da das Wasser entweder sehr heiß...

We loved our apartment on the top of the building, so huge and beautiful. Everyone was so helpful, recommend restaurants and trips. You have to do the catamaran tour to ile aux cerfs with them...it was just great. Special thanks to Jessica and staff, always again."

"Very nice location - loved the hike. Rooms are quite small but will do for a night or two. The food is great at dinners but very poor breakfasts. They can cook some eggs and the rest from the buffet: yogurt, tasteless bread, some cheese and musli - that’s it. Overall a nice stay but no more than 2 nights"

"Personnel accueillant, souriant et serviable. Belle piscine, et plage de sable a proximité. Menu a thème sympa. Bon petit déjeuner mais peu varié dans la semaine. Dommage qu'il n'y ait que du beurre salé (pas terrible sur le pain ou les tartines grillées). Les oiseaux picorent le pain dans la salle, malgré la vigilance du personnel. Manque de prise dans la chambre. Manque de banquette pour poser la valise. La salle de bain est ouverte sur la chambre, ce qui est gênant si on n'est pas en couple...
