"Clean, comfortable room - but small. Very convenient laundry facilities that were inexpensive and very helpful for the middle of our trip. Lobby was bland but not an important feature to us."

"We had a great stay at the Gate Hotel Ryogoku. The room was spotless and housekeeping did a great job everyday. It was also spacious enough for 2 people to lay out 2 large suitcases and still have plenty of room to move around. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent—fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs to order, etc. All staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Overall this was our favorite hotel of the trip."

"The room and bathroom are very clean, staffs are very helpful and kind as well. It’s just beside the skytree and shopping centre which is very convenient. Definitely will come back again!"

"A pleasant stay within walking distance to many good sites and the wonderful Happy St. The room was comfortable but very small, bed against the wall so had to climb out on one side. The staff were excellent, understood our needs and were friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean and breakfast included is substantial and tasty. A very good stay. "

"Liked: Location was excellent- train station, restaurants, convenience stores, and a pharmacy all minutes away. Neighbourhood wasn’t super loud or crowded. There was a decent amount of space in the room for four people (four twin beds). There was an air conditioner in the room. The body wash smelled nice. Disliked: the room had a funny smell to it and unfortunately you can’t open the windows. It wasn’t unbearable but I noticed it every time we came back to the room. Also the beds were hard as rock which wasn’t unexpected but still a bummer."

"The breakfast was not suitable for us. We use to eat American breakfast. There was nothing to eat. Even the fruit was not much. The kitchen was dirty and ugly. The restaurant experience was bad ."
