"The woods themselves are magical! Maps available at the gift shop. The cabins are from the 1930s so they're small, but has a shower and stone fireplace so it's a great value when you want to go camping but don't want to spend hours setting up & tearing down. Some of the facilities could use some maintenance, but for being nearly 100 years old, this is a great, safe park. The restaurant is gorgeous inside, but the food leaves something to desire. I get it, it's hard to run a restaurant, but maybe going full-bakery to focus on your amazing pies & collaboration with Jens bread or bake your own instead of a greasy spoon restaurant with the tired classics. Soup with panini press sandwiches, pie, and coffee would be more streamline for the restaurant and would encourage Door Dash or anyone who wants a quick, delicious bite, which isn't easy to find in the area. "

"The place was super clean, which honestly goes a long way. We stayed in the whirlpool suite—the tub was great and definitely the highlight, even though the fireplace didn’t work. It was really quiet, almost like we had the whole place to ourselves, so we wandered down to the pool for a bit. It could use a deep clean though… the walls were looking pretty green. Breakfast was simple—coffee and doughnuts. The coffee was a little weak, and the doughnuts weren’t anything special. We only saw staff once when we checked in, so it felt pretty hands-off overall. All in all, it wasn’t a bad stay—just had some missed potential. But the cleanliness? That’s a big win and honestly worth a lot when you’re traveling."

"I got locked out of my room the morning I was supposed to leave before check out time. I went down with my key card for coffee and when I returned to my room, I could not get back in. I had no phone or keys with me because I was just going for coffee. I sat in the lobby after I called the number instructed to call for lockouts for about 20-30 minutes and then I called it again. An employee picked up and told me where to find the emergency card to get in. This is a wonderful place to stay, but the security is not good. They really should staff 24 hours for incident like this. I was grateful there was an emergency card, but the front door is always open and what if someone remembered where that card was? They could easily go in and steal everyone’s stuff! I get it. It’s a very safe area, but I did not feel safe that morning, and I don’t think I will be coming back"

"There ia no bar or restaurant! And there rooms are absolutely disgusting! We left & never stayed there. We also never got our money back. He threatened to call the cops on us because we asked for our money back. We lost $510. The bwd had yellow stains on it & black hair the couch was black. The other roon for our daughter & son in law smelled of cat piss & cigarettes. The mirror was broke with tin foil & duck tap. The paint was coming off the walls. It was absolutely horrible!"

"The gentleman at the front desk with the beard is fantastic. I have stayed at this hotel 2 times now, and he is one of the most respectful and helpful individuals I have ever encountered in the service industry. He single handedly has caused me to repeat business at this hotel and I will continue to do so as long as he is employed."

"The property was clean, the room was clean and well supplied with towels, soap. It looked like it had daily maid service. The hallways, stairs smelled like disinfectant and the door to the 3rd floor (where I was staying) didn't have a door knob but was replaced with a screwed in handle. When I checked in, the day attendent said that I had booked a handicapped room and helped me change over to a regular room, which was helpful. I had booked the room on Expedia so no $ charge adjustment was necessary. It seemed like the Continenntal breakfast was a bit light but I did not take advantage of it, eating out instead. The eating area was clean and tidy. Overall, it was a good stay."
