"De lobby was kil en sfeerloos. Overal felwitte spaarlampen. Slechte acoustiek zoals in een grot. De suite was groot en met gigantische terrassen met zicht al om. Het bed was van goede kwaliteit. De afwerking van de suite liet te wensen over. Er waren overweldigend veel knoppen voor de verlichting (wederom witte spaarlampen). De afwerking kon beter. "A Peaceful Home Away From Home Our family absolutely loved our stay at Tathya Hills Luxury Retreat. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true home away from home. Nestled in the hills just a short drive from the town centre and Lovers Leap Waterfall, the property offers a peaceful escape surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our family room was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for our family of four. The bathroom was well-appointed, and the heater kept the room warm and comfortable during the cooler evenings. Breakfast was served promptly each morning at our requested time and included a simple but satisfying cooked breakfast with toast, jams, tea, and coffee. What really made our stay special was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always available to help, offering great recommendations on local attractions and places to visit. We also enjoyed spending time in the shared living area, which provided a relaxing space to unwind, with books to read, games to play, and comfortable seating. I would highly recommend Tathya Hills Luxury Retreat to anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing getaway away from the hustle and bustle of town and the standard hotel experience. It’s a wonderful place to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the area."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Queens Hotel. The property is beautiful, with its traditional colonial architecture and a prime location overlooking the lake and the Temple of the Tooth. The two-bedroom family suite was ideal for our family, offering plenty of space and convenient access to the surrounding shops, restaurants, and main streets. Each room was equipped with air conditioning, which was greatly appreciated in the heat and humidity, and complimentary bottled water was replenished daily. The laundry service was excellent—both efficient and remarkably fast. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional level of service from the staff. They consistently went above and beyond, whether delivering extra water, showing our daughter how to make an elephant from the towels, or arranging for a pair of trousers to be professionally cleaned after an accidental stain. The facilities were also excellent. The pool and bar area provided a relaxing atmosphere, and the restaurant served a range of delicious meals throughout our stay. The only minor drawbacks were the low shower water pressure, which made washing long hair somewhat challenging, and the noticeable noise from traffic and crows during the night. Light sleepers may wish to bring earplugs. Overall, we would highly recommend the Queens Hotel. Its combination of character, location, facilities, and outstanding service made for a memorable stay, and we would gladly return in the future."

"This is an excellent property at a beautiful location with great views. The breakfast I had here was one of the better ones I had in SL. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only thing I will mention is getting to this place is through a km of very narrow hilly road. Trust your driver and hopefully you do not have too big of a car. Once you get here, the view and the resort is worth it. Minimize the up and down trips to city of Kandy from here if you can and spend more time at resort."

"We stayed in the Riverdale Bungalow for 4 nights. This bungalow is across town from the main hotel. The bungalow was gorgeous, clean and had lots of amenities. We were just a couple using the main bedroom, but there is a second room with 2 single beds so a family could stay here. The private pool, big porch and side garden were all for our use and beautiful. The view from up there does not get any better. We visited many places in Kandy, and this one had the best view. Very peaceful to relax by the pool and watch nature go by. Delicous Breakfast was made to order every morning on the porch so we got to watch the birds and monkeys go by. Bandana the butler and the Chef made the stay perfect and personalised for us, the curry dinner was the best meal we had in Kandy."
