"Wonderful staff and beautiful views"

"We stayed in a cabin withy ensuite, it was perfect. Nice and clean, adequate heating for the cold evenings and nights. The beds were comfy. The wee kitchen had a two hotplate and a microwave. The bench space was a bit squishy for everything but you just made it work. There was a bait station opposite our cabin which is very useful and we used it. The locality of the site is great near all the Rotorua lakes and handy to the city also"

"Had a really great stay at Rydges Rotorua. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well looked after. The staff were fabulous and very friendly throughout my stay. There was an issue with the WiFi in my room, that seemed to be isolated to that room only. The team investigated and when couldn't resolve it moved me to another room, which solved the problem straight away. Overall, very happy with the stay and would definitely come back."

"Stayed one night at Millennium Rotorua with the family. The location is definitely the best part — very close to Polynesian Spa and only about a 10-minute walk to the shops and restaurants. But honestly, the hotel itself just felt like a basic room for a very high price. I really don’t understand why many hotels in New Zealand lack simple standard amenities that are common in Asia. "We stayed here about a year ago and it was really nice. This time around it was very run down. It was clean but things were about to break, the taps in our room were about to come off you had to be careful when using them. The place just needs a fair amount of tlc. It is in a beautiful location and has so much going for it but the stained curtains in the restaurant, the lack of hospitality, I’m not sure if they were short staffed or not but I thought they could use another staff member so we...

We enjoyed the lakeside hot tub as well that was very clean although the light there looks like it needs to be replaced. Would be a great spot for large groups as well."

"1 night stay after spending the day on the lake with a JetSki, the room was exactly what we needed with the inroom spa, clean and comfortable, lady at the reception was super friendly and welcoming and made no fuss when I asked if I could park the ute towing the JetSki needing to take up 3 car park lanes.
