"Villa Angela is a very beautiful hotel and it sits high up above Taormina in the mountains with incredible views of Mount Etna, and the Harbour. Everything was very clean, well kept and luxurious. The restaurant was delicious and the staff extra helpful. The pool was amazing. Truly a five star experience!"

"The location was great, the breakfasts too, place was sufficiently clean but not immaculate, the entrance and backyard and court could have used some attention, the biggest issue was the internet which was down upon checkin and not functional, hotel mentioned that the service was down but when they suggested I change to their internal wifi the problem was resolved. It cost us some data in our plan however. All in all the stay was good and the value makes it worthwhile"

"Overall a good hotel, location and amenities. It’s not the most modern, but the pool/bar area are 1st class and the staff very friendly and attentive. Good location for Catania, 10min Uber into downtown/ Metro station. Great views of Etna, ask for pool/sea view room (even no’s). Quality breakfast. The rooms are large, but dated and the hotel fascia could do with a fresh lick of paint. Plenty of local bars/restaurants near by and amazing food/wine for bargain prices. Demonstrates how much we get...

"Staff was great. Room was clean. But my worse lifetime experience in a hotel that has rooms where you can’t sleep. My room was facing an open street terrace with the extreme late night noise and a farmers market for the very early setup noise. Couple this with garbage/recycing pickup and street cleanup at 4am, it impossible to sleep because the windows are not soundproof. During daytime the room is much quieter…"

"The "total spa" experience is very underwhelming. Access to a sauna, steam room, is not a "total" experience. The foot treatment consisting of ruining a walk on progressively more painful rocks was so bad we had to laugh. But... rooms were good and the staff were very pleasant. Everything else, that is standard, was really good."

Highly recommend this hotel - the location is central on Corso Umberto so it’s an easy stroll to the funivia, taxis, buses, the piazza, and the teatro antico. We will go again!!"
