We were disappointed with our recent stay at this resort. Despite booking our room months in advance, we arrived to find the resort overbooked and our reserved room unavailable. The staff advised us to contact the third-party site we used to request a refund and mentioned we would be issued a resort credit as compensation—unfortunately, the credit was never provided.
The room we were assigned had a beautiful view, which was one of the few positives of our stay. However, the room itself was outdated, and there was a visible crack in the door that compromised both privacy and noise control. The condition of the furnishings and general upkeep fell short of what we expected for the price and rating of the resort.
A significant portion of the resort was under renovation, something that was not disclosed prior to booking. Key amenities—including the jerk bar and the swim-up bar and pool—were closed for 5 to 6 days during our visit. This greatly limited the on-site dining and leisure options, which was disappointing.
Most of the staff were friendly and professional, and we appreciated their efforts. However, some employees seemed untrained or unsure about basic resort services, which led to inconsistent and occasionally frustrating service.
Overall, the resort did not meet expectations. Transparency about availability and amenities, along with better communication and follow-through, would have significantly improved the experience.
