Evening meal menu was odd. I think the chef was trying too hard to be different. The vegetarian chick pea dish was merely a bowl of cooked onions with some vegetable mush- my wife called it baby food. The chicken with truffles was tasty although came with flabby chicken skin. "This is about 30 minutes outside Florence but a really cool, quiet location! It was nice to be outside of the cities and take a break from the crowds. The hotel had a ton of amenities and the staff was super nice. You would need a car if you are staying here (unless you want to pay for cabs), there is free parking though. "
"A quaint and beautifully renovated old mill dating back to the 1400s. The grounds are spacious, and are home to both flowering plants and herbs. Lots of areas to access, both shaded and in full sun. Food was excellent. You are able to access the sister facility, opened recently, just a short distance away. It’s worth the walk, as the pool faces expansive views of the surrounding countryside.
