"Breakfast was great. A lot of choice and the omelet bar was awesome and the staff was great. I wish there were a pair of sleeper. The reason I gave 4 for maintenance was that there were mold in shower room, not working lights, and the light over bathroom sink was not bright. Other than that I enjoyed the staying at the hotel."

"To be fair, this hotel appeared to be the best of many unimpressive options in Monterey. It is an old-school motor lodge that has been “dressed-up,” but it is in no way upscale.
The main issue with the hotel cannot be avoided: its’ restaurant and meeting rooms are on the top floor. So if you are booked into the 3rd floor - as we were - you will hear chairs scraping floor, footsteps, banging … practically anytime other than midnight to five am.
We heard copious noise above us until after 11 pm...

"We loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa. We told Diego at check-in that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay, and the next day we found a bottle of champagne, 2 glass champagne flutes, a box of chocolates, 2 free drink voucher cards, and a hand-written note from Michelle congratulating us on our anniversary. It was nothing but VIP treatment, and we loved it. Thank you to everyone on the staff that made our stay such a memorable one."
