"エディンバラを朝から晩まで楽しみたい方にはおすすめしませんが、観光客で溢れたエディンバラを脱出して郊外で特別な宿泊体験をしたい方にはおすすめです。お城の塔の寝室、大広間、屋根上が貸切です。お姫様というよりは砦の城主の気分を味わえます。車で行く方が多いようですが、私たちは最寄りのWallyford駅（エディンバラから2駅）から歩きました。遊歩道を30-40分ほど歩くと着きます。夕食は済ませるか、調達してから行く必要があります。朝食は部屋に準備してあり、好きなものを選んで食べられます。オーナーご夫妻が気さくでとても良い方々でした。おすすめです。"

"Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. It’ll do though with nothing else around. Overall, it was a good value and I felt safe and comfortable"

"I didn't realize when I booked the hotel it was a refurbished boat. It was very cool. The staff was so very helpful in visiting the city and with directions. I enjoyed speaking with Gordon, Brian, Matt and Daniel. Matt advised me to take the tram to the airport and it was a breeze. I highly recommend this hotel as it is unique."

"Good stay and affordable price. Quick bus ride or easy walk into the center of town. Request a room away from one of the access points as it could be noisy at night as people were locking or unlocking the access door. Bathroom could have been slightly better maintained. Hotel unfortunately uses single use plastics for their toiletries."

"The Abbey Residence has a rooming house feel. We had a spacious room with large but dated ensuite. The walls could use a lick of paint, but there were no real issues with the room. Wifi was good and our room had a good sized Roku based smart TV with lots of streaming options. Parking in central Edinburgh is hard so leave your car at the Abbey Residence and catch the bus into town from the bus stop just across the road. "The building is older but we knew that when booking and were very fine with that! The staff member who checked us in was extremely nice and gave some dinner recommendations. The TV had Netflix which was great and our suite included a full kitchen as well as some croissants and muffins for breakfast and bottled water and Irn Bru in the fridge (which was very appreciated!). "The hotel was located a short walk from the tram and bus routes . The staff were friendly and I was greeted daily . The breakfast was satisfying and offered a variety of favourite breakfast items. The only thing I found concerning is that the glasses / cup and spoons provided in hotel room were left unchanged and not cleaned . Travellers will be comfortable and appreciate the nearby amenities."
