"The Astro Motel is an absolute gem! The mid-century modern renovation is perfectly executed on the exterior and inside the rooms. The grounds are beautifully designed with lots of citrus, olive trees, grasses and pollinator-friendly plants. A couple of the original motel signs are incorporated into the landscape, too. "Please do not book this place. The photos on Expedia are outdated. The whole place is a dumpster! They are selling outside the rooms old furniture and even old window frames for $25,$50 dollars. We stayed one night and we asked for an extra towel and they have a cardboard box full of towels and toilet paper in the middle of the office together with groceries they try to also sell. This place should be closed down by the city. It’s a hazardous environment! "

"The location of the hotel was very convenient (right in the town square). Many restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk. The room (Deluxe Queen), while nicely fitted, was extremely small! For a solo traveler it might be OK, but even for a couple I think it was extremely tight. It would help if they/Expedia have them put room size in their listing just so it does not come as a shock. "We always stay here when we visit. This is a central location to all the wineries. The first night, we were given the wrong room and had to move the next day.
