"We stayed in the General George Meade room which was located in the Main House- a key location next to the pantry (espresso & Keurig coffee, teas, treats...) and a half bath near pantry (key if you need an extra bathroom!) and lobby and kitchen. "Do not let them put you in room 253 (room with a view and fridge) if you do not want to be woken up at 6am to body slamming like noises until 10am. The breakfast area is right above the room and it’s very loud. They never gave us a warning which I feel is taking advantage of people. If we would have known we would have booked the cheaper room or asked to be moved."

Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gettysburg. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained that made our visit enjoyable. The room was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. "We've stayed in the Tillie House for several years and it has always been a pleasure until last year. Previously therooms seemed clean but either there were NO Tvs in the room or they didn't work. "The room definitely was not cold enough. It would not let us change the temperature too less than 68 degrees. Other than that it’s was very clean and a very nice hotel. We really appreciated the towels for the bikes."
