"If you’re going to Mackinac Island stay in Mackinac City. St. Ignes is an older more run down city with nothing to do. Very limited restaurants and shops. Wish I would have known this as a first time visitor."

"I can’t believe I spend so much for a night at this hotel. The outside of the property and the lobby is nice and looks promising. However the room I stayed in was the 2nd worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels. The carpet was gross, and the bathroom was disgusting. The shower and floor were stained and it smelled musty and moldy to the point that I couldn’t be in there for more than a couple minutes before gagging. I wouldn’t shower in there and did my makeup...

"The Cedar Hill Lodge was great for our party of 5 people for a one night stay. We were wanting a place to stay after crossing the Mackinac Bridge. This was a lovely newly renovated resort with lots of amenities. We stayed in room 252 which was in the Spruce building. We had the room with multiple beds and a balcony. The room was large, comfortable, clean, and worked perfect for us! The bathroom was clean and in good condition. The sink is outside of the bathroom which was very convenient for us...

"The staff was friendly and the room was quiet and clean. The air conditioning worked well. The shower pressure wasn't very good. We weren't fans of the religious themes throughout the hotel. The television options were terrible - many hotels are switching to Roku or Amazon TV systems so guests can stream via their own accounts; this would be a major improvement."
