"The Ambassade was a welcome surprise in Amsterdam. A small jewel of a hotel in a wonderful central location, within walking distance to museums, Jordaan, shopping and the train station. We loved the intimate setting and personalized service. Definitely recommend!"

"Great location right on the canal, with helpful staff. Good breakfast with lots of options. The bar doesn't stay open very late, but there are many places nearby. We were told a day ahead that our bed request couldn't be accommodated, which we thought probably meant a standard/double instead of king or queen. What we got were little twins that reminded me of my childhood bedroom. Which were comfortable but not ideal as a couple. Still, would stay here again based on everything else."

"We stayed in the Junior suite with a queen bed and it was immaculate. The bathroom looked like it was new or just remodeled it was spotless. The view from our room 325 was fantastic overlooking Dam Square although the sound of the tram cars on the tracks lasted to midnight and could be a little botherrsome at times it was still soft enough to sleep. A wonderful room all in all."

"Great location. If you get a nice room, it's wonderful. Our first night was in a room off the lobby and on street level.Very loud but hotel was kind and was able to move us next night. Hptel has nice bar. Good restaurants. Friendly staff."

"Truly a 5 star experience. So convenient to sights, shops ans restaurants on the Canal Ring and an especially helpful front desk staff. We had a room in the newer adjacent building (they are connected) and were pleasantly surprised to have a lovely sitting room with the bedroom in an upstairs loft. It had elegant decor and was very comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant but had a drink in the bar which was beautiful. would definitely stay again and plan to look into their other properties."

Housekeeping services very variable. Sometimes no coffee or milk replacements. Don’t really go to extra lengths to clean the room. Corridor carpets seemed filthy and the corridor was smelly. Boutique type hotel. Basic breakfast. Seemed a bit pricey. Receptionists absent most times."
