"What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. Room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, I was overlooking the main road but it got really quiet around 11,pm and I slept like a log. Would recommend, good for the price."

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "Very nice breakfast. No offer of a 2nd cup of tea or coffee. Bathroom needed renovation. "

"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"It’s a nice small inn for staying a couple of nights. The room must be recently renovated with a nice bathroom. The only surprise was that I booked with breakfast but the hotel only provided a simple breakfast ; coffee and toast. Otherwise you need to pay extra. I wish they stayed more information on their booking information regarding the breakfast options. To me it’s a little bit too cheap for them to operate their business in this way."
