10/10
This is a literal palace commissioned in 1750 by Prince Marcantonia Doria as his family palace in Napoli - see Wikipedia for Palazzo Doria D’Angria. The hotel feels very much like a museum - huge doors, ornate rooms, four poster beds in some rooms. The breakfast room is the location of the balcony that Garabaldi made his address from. Staff is friendly and accommodating but make sure sure that you tell them your arrival time in advance - the front door is a bit unique and it is good to have someone to greet you. The location is located in the middle of Napoli and close to numerous restaurants, shopping, as well as less than 10 minutes walk from the veiled Christ at Chapel Sansevero. Only thing to be aware of is that most streets in downtown Napoli are noisy late into the eveningand around this hotel is no exception. We love this hotel and would stay again in a heartbeat.
