"Very nice place and super sweet and serviceminded hosts. The Price however was way over the normal standard. But it could be Ok, if the hotel was excellent. The website said aircondition, but there was no Aircondition. It also said pool, but it was green and not fit to swin in. "This hotel is for you if you want a rustic experience in the middle of the mountains on a very winding, steep and narrow road. I had a business meeting in the nearby town of Cours and thought that this little hotel would be a good place for the night before. It was fine for a one night stay but would be not so great for longer. This was a really good break from usual business hotels, great evening / dinner with owners and other guests ending with a courtesy tour of the estate in a golf buggy, we will certainly remember our stay. "Nice quiet stay, nice large comfortable room, nice pool. Very good breakfast. Chateau is near the Canal were you can have a very nice walk, towards the city of Roanne or not."

"We expected LaChatard to be nice but a fairly basic stopover for our visit to the area however the service, facilities, and restaurant were all fantastic. The restaurant serves a local menu and wine, and the food was beautiful. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The team evidently took pride in their work. Facilities were comprehensive too with a well stocked gym, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sunbathing area. A great place to stay."

"This is the best place we have stayed on the 15 days of Europe travel. After choosing to stay in city centers we decided to stay in the country. This place is dead quiet, bed very comfortable, breakfast enjoyable, staff awesome, very clean and modern. It's a small place but everything was perfect and ease of use. We will be back to this little gem again soon. We would have stayed longer to explore the area with our bikes but we had to catch a flight home from Paris. Excellent bakery near by."
