"The building itself is amazing. There seemed to be a recent takeover so there were a number of staff who were not well trained. The house keeping was an issue every single day of our stay. Our keys deactivated twice in our 4 day stay. The restaurant was probably the worst of the experience. We ordered lunch with only one other table in the entire restaurant. Thirty plus minutes later no food. The main bar was the best of the experience. Friendly staff and served delicious cocktails. Also, my room had a gorgeous view and a fun vibe. Hoping that once the takeover has had some time, these issues will be ironed out. This hotel has great potential."

"This is an Historic Gem in Milwaukee. It is steps from Lake Michigan and while in an older neighborhood, close to many of the sites that Milwaukee has to offer.
The rooms are ideal for extended stays. Even the standard rooms have equipped kitchenettes with stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave. Larger rooms and suites have full kitchens.The rooms are large and have a lot of closet space.
The staff is very friendly and pleasant to interact with. Another plus is that there is a restaurant and bar attached. While we didn't visit this trip we have in previous stays and found the food good and reasonably priced.
It is our Milwaukee go to and I think it is a property worth checking out. "

"We took our daughter to the zoo. This hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway from Chicago. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the zoo and 10 minutes from the mall a lot of nice restaurants to eat around. The pool was perfect"

"Employees are nice and helpful. However, night shift employee is awful. He was sleep and snoring very loudly while the front door was open at 3am. He was no help at all!!!"

"My family and I walked in and were impressed on the front of the house, interior look; however, the exterior was a little rough. The lady at front was friendly, but we walked up to our rooms and they were disgusting. There was a stain on the bed, loose toothpicks and debris, really bad water damage along the windows and bathrooms, and some of the lights did not work in the room, there was also hairs on some of the beds. We went downstairs and canceled our stay. Staff were really friendly; however, this did not make up for the lack of cleanliness in this hotel."

"Very helpful staff and kind people. They were so friendly and easy to talk to. They welcomed us very nicely. I personally felt the room needed more care because it wasn’t clean that much. The hotel is so nice and close to everything. The lobby is vintage and peaceful. The pool has an incredible view."
