"Upon arrival at the hotel I was not happy with the condition of the room. It didn’t look as it was shown on line when booking. It was indeed very clean but the furniture is extremely old and it didn’t appear to be “ modernized and updated “ as advertised. I asked for a better room and was pleasantly reassigned to another. ( it was marginally better) we stayed anyway and it was super quiet and clean. I’m glad I didn’t pay much for the room. I probably would not return."

"I waited 15 minutes in the lobby for a.yone to show up to check me in. I arrived at 4pm, nkt after hours. I had to call two separate numbers to get any staff to.show up. When I got to my room it was very dirty. The bedding has long dark hair visible on each layer. There was a discarded vape left under the sink, visible when sitting on the toilet. I decided to check out immediately and when.i went to the lobby again, 10 minutes after checking in, no staff were present. I called the number left...

"This was the perfect place to stay in the heart of Bar Harbor, within walking distance of everything. All of the staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful. The extras that they offer in the lobby were perfect. Hot coffee and hot chocolate were always available. They offered a variety of snacks and bottled water, which made our hiking and walking adventures so much easier. We had a room with a king bed. The room was clean and well decorated. The air and heat worked wonderfully. Parking was...

"It seemed clean enough. The next morning I woke up with itchy bites all over me that after further research appear to be bed bug bites. No one is at the property full time, you have to call someone to come. After I researched the bites Expedia reached out to the property owner. They never received a response and proceeded to give me the contact info and I never received a response either. Ended up doing a charge back on credit card and it was issued without anyone contesting it."
