"Could be a little bit cleaner, but I think it depends on the house. No towels, no hoover. Otherwise its a very nice place to spend time with the family. Very quiet and clean."

"The Hotel is really good and would stay again. I would suggest that if you had problems with stairs you would tell them that prior to booking . We were in a top floor room which was lovely but difficult, at our age and (dis)ability to deal with. As stated, we would definitely stay again."

"The food and staff were genuinely amazing — every meal was delicious and the team were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. We also loved the free‑standing bath in our room; such a lovely touch and really added to the experience. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well as the room was extremely hot, and the fan provided didn’t help at all. A better cooling option would have made a big difference. The pool itself was beautiful and refreshing, but it did feel a bit awkward during our visit. A bridal party were sitting along the edge with their feet in the water, taking photos — including with a drone — and they were taking up around half the pool space, which made it less relaxing for other guests. Overall, a mix of wonderful service and amenities with a few comfort issues that affected our stay."
The Crown Manor House Hotel

"We had 3 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were nice but a little on the smaller side for a double. All the rooms had slightly different arrangement. Two of the rooms had a shower in the bath and for some reason one of the rooms baths didn’t drain well, we informed the hotel but they were unable to sort the problem during the stay. We had a birthday celebration and eat in the hotel. Some of the food was excellent however it was not consistent across the meal. The tuna tartar was poor, 5 of us had it. We felt it was bland with little flavour. The Fish & Chips was nice although the chips were dry. My daughter loved her meal, she had the lamb. It a lovely old hotel and we generally enjoy the decor and travelling in the old lift. We would go back due to its location and generally charm. The staff are very nice although for some reason it doesn’t operate like a well oiled machine!"

"Having considered a few options I’m so pleased we decided to stay here. The staff are wonderful, the facilities were excellent, and it was such a beautiful place to stay. Can highly recommend."

Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn, Brockenhurst, New Forest

"Lovely staff. Unfortunately we stayed when it was very hot. Photos of rooms at the level we stayed at were slightly deceptive - ours was quite small compared to others shown which was disappointing. The fan in the room was not maintained and despite a request it was not swooped. Aircon would be great at the windows do not allow any breeze due to how they open. Sad not to be able to eat outside in the garden where it was cooler than the restaurant."
Balmer Lawn Hotel

"The bunk bed room was perfect for our two younger kids. However, the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep during our stay due to the heat. Once the weather cooled down at night, the large fan helped a lot. Parking was tight, and there are four EV chargers outside, although they are quite expensive at £0.98 per kWh. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming."
