Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge Airport
8/10 Good
"The room was cleaned except for the floor feeling dirty and I encountered small spiders in the bathroom especially on the towels. The bedding was clean and very soft. The breakfast was a to go breakfast until you can get to a breakfast."
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baton Rouge North/Airport
4/10 Poor
"While the hotel itself met basic needs, there were several aspects of the experience that fell short. The lobby felt dated and in need of refreshing. On one evening, a homeless individual was in the lobby handling and playing with the sugar packets in the guest beverage area. The front desk attendant appeared aware of the situation but did not intervene, which raised concerns about cleanliness, guest comfort, and overall attentiveness to the common areas.
Additionally, I was disappointed that a complimentary transfer to another nearby hotel within the same brand family was not available. My business was in South Baton Rouge, while this property was located in North Baton Rouge, making it less convenient for my stay. The surrounding area also felt somewhat isolated and appeared more rundown than expected, which detracted from the overall experience.
I will be more cautious when choosing and not make this mistake again. Not recommended."
"Room was dated with broken items outlets and shower. Slumlord living at its finest. Homeless people all around at all hours, drug use, loud cars and police. Mind you I work long days and dreaded going to back to that hotel. Don't stay there."
