Guests who are sensitive to the hustle and bustle of NYC can always request inside rooms on higher floors. We will investigate the comment about night construction sounds - this isn’t permitted in the city and we are unaware of any properties on the street that are violating that restriction. We do hope you enjoyed seeing the city and getting around from our convenient location.

Thank you for the review June. Like most urban boutique hotels our room size varies, although most guests think them a good size for NYC. The type you reserved is our smallest accommodation - the King and QQ rooms are all larger and you might consider booking those if you prefer a very generous space.

Hello Ava. While we truly appreciate the review and kind remarks about our staff, we are sorry you were unaware of the facilities fee. Perhaps someone other than you made the reservation? The fee is clearly stated on Expedia’s site, both in the important information section and again when showing the total cost of the stay. The registration card all guests sign at check in also shows the facilities charge. Our guest service agents receive training to inform guests of the fee at registration time, and we are reminding all our team of the importance of that action.

Renee, we are so sorry you were unhappy with aspects of your stay. The mattresses are a deluxe type and should be totally comfortable - we have passed this information to housekeeping and engineering so that we can correct any issues with the beds. The climate control absolutely can either heat or cool a room depending on the guest preference and as we don’t see that you advised of any trouble with the thermostat during your stay we have now also passed that to the engineering staff. We thank you for mentioning the efforts of our staff and hope you will consider Kixby for a future visit.
