"After a long journey we were so pleased to stay at this B&B, we received a warm welcome, the building is beautiful with lovely views and our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only but very well thought out and the communal areas are a special bonus. Would stay here again without a doubt. Thank you."

"There was a large party downstairs (floor below) on the Saturday night we stayed there. Music from DJ was very loud and pounding/felt in our room until after midnight preventing sleep. The Restaurant was unavailable due to the party. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room on this property when the downstairs facilities are booked in this way."

"I would normally say nothing rather than write a bad review but this place was so bad - the room in particular, the fact that no one cared and it showed , the lack of maintenance or bothering about customers , i think other guests should be aware. We could have put up with having to search for someone to check us in, the dirty carpets, battered dirty paint work, incredibly slow service , being made to feel an inconvenience for having dinner ( food was nice when we eventually got it) and not...

"We had a beautiful quiet room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was good - items such as eggs and tomatoes were fresh cooked and hot; meat products were sometimes lukewarm. Service was good. Just a bit disappointed that there was no availability of meals/dinner in the evening- a light lunch was available until 6pm. Would help residents to know this beforehand but that might put off people booking. Monday night was difficult with most eateries closed and we could only find a run of the mill...

"I went down for breakfast at 7.30....a bit later than I usually would, but everything was closed. I tried calling the number on the front desk but didn't get an answer. The room is decent but the bed was very hard."

Decor was a little tired and could do with a refresh (especially the bathroom - such a wasted opportunity not to put a bigger bath in there)! Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. "This was a lovely place to stay which we chose partly because it has some EV charging facilities. The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed with tea, coffee and water. We would visit again "
