"Hotel Feedback and Deposit Policy Concern
Overall, my experience at the hotel was very good. The hotel is beautiful, customer-friendly, and everything was working perfectly during our stay. I particularly appreciate the condition of the hotel and the quality of service at
Hotel Falls Lodge and Suites. However, I would like to raise a concern regarding the $200 security/damage deposit held for the two rooms we occupied.
I am visiting Canada from Africa and I am not resident in Canada. I have completed my purpose of coming to Canada and will be leaving the country shortly. At the time of checkout, we returned the room keys as required. My concern is: why must the deposit be held for another two or three days before being released?Once a guest checks out and hands over the keys, I believe the hotel staff should be able to inspect the rooms immediately. If nothing has been damaged or broken, the deposit could then be released without unnecessary delay.Waiting several days creates an uncomfortable situation for the guest. It is also possible that an issue could be identified later, when the guest has already left the country and is no longer available to explain or defend themselves. That does not seem entirely fair or practical.
I would therefore respectfully suggest that the management review this particular aspect of the deposit policy. A prompt room inspection immediately after checkout would provide greater transparency and confidence for both the hotel and its guests."
