"The double room I booked was not available upon check in. They gave me 2 queen rooms instead for the night. The next day we were to move to the double room, and had to wait an additional hour until it was ready. The staff made the entire situation more confusing than it needed to be, and was very disappointed with my stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Lucerne and had a lovely breakfast at Nice Matin. It was convenient to the subway line and to everything we wanted to see during our stay in New York."

"Great location, in the theater district and a stones throw from time square. Walkable to many restaurants, central park and other mid town attractions. Nice updated rooms, large bathroom, and friendly staff. Wish there was a little more offered at the continental breakfast, but that is just nitpicking."

"The hotel was very nice, the room was modern and clean. The shower faucet was loose and would actually come off if you pulled on it but it functioned fine. Exercise room had lots of weights and machines. The doormen were super friendly and welcoming. My advice is to request a room with a view, otherwise you might get the room we got which had a view of a brick wall and mechanicals. on the other hand, maybe you would want that room if you wanted more privacy.😆"

"Air conditioning in room was horrible, thermostat never went lower than 70 degrees. Bed and pillows not comfortable. Was very disappointed because I’ve been to several Hampton Inns and always had excellent air conditioning and bed / pillows."

"I really enjoyed the location of the property and the decor of the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was awesome! There was a small issue with the bed linens not looking freshly cleaned, and especially on the sofa bed, but once we spoke to front desk they immediately responded and provided cleaned bedsheets. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. I would definitely stay at the Riu Plaza Hotel again."

"Room is a bit small, no storage for garments but the room and bathroom is clean. I wish a bit more space and allow microwave to use in the amenity common areas."

"Room average at best, in room lounge chair was filthy but room it self was clean. Nothing truly special but we did fall in love with location. We did so much just a quick walk away it made up for what the hotel lacked."
