They have done an excellent job of cleaning up the hotel and making it safer...it used to be a hotbed of nefarious activates. It is now much calmer and much safer. It was generally very clean but there was still a slight lingering smell of smoke. "Terrible experience, cockroaches in the bathroom and the shower curtain was full of mildew, I booked a king room and to my surprise upon entering the room in was a double bed. I called the front desk and apparently they got overbooked and changed my room type without letting me know. The fridge was unplugged when I entered the room , water was all over the floor and it smelled awful. I asked to be moved to a different room but to my surprise the lady at the front desk said that was the only room...

"I have to say I was greeted at breakfast with the warmest hello ever. Employee Samuetta Harris is an awesome person. VERY helpful, friendly and kind. She shows love and kindness in what she does on her job. Wow she is phenomenal. I just had to share that experience. Front desk staff extremely kind and friendly. It was a good stay. I will return here again when I come back in August."
