"I was horrified by our room when I check in. The carpet was gross with so many stains. It was not at all what the pictures looked like. Staff at front desk were not nice. Strictly business. I showed up at 1:30 after a long travel day only to be told, check in is at 3:00. The hotel was empty, they were not busy. I left my bags and came back at 3:00. I would never stay here again and definitely can’t recommend this hotel to anyone. "

"We stayed in a club room. The check-in for club guests went really smoothly with friendly and courteous staff. While the welcome drink was definitely appreciated, it was important to our stay to have the facilities explained to us (closures/lounge times/offerings). Having said that, we experienced a challenge with language which complicated our understanding of what was available. The room was bright and well-appointed. The club lounge offered a great variety of food and beverages and clearly marked the foods which, as a guest with severe allergies, was extremely helpful. We had full days in Okinawa and found the removal of food at 19:00 each evening too early and inconvenient. We sought activity recommendations and transportation suggestions from the front desk. The staff tried to be helpful but they spoke little English and had to consult a book about activities and transportation. Given The Oriental’s status as a higher end international hotel, I would have expected a specific concierge position who would be well-versed in local activities and have multilingual skills. While the hotel is not on the beach, arranging drop-off and pick-up shuttle service to the beach and public transportation was easy and wait time was short. The hotel’s location is great if you are using public transportation to get to/from the airport and visit sights along the west coast if you don’t have a car. We didn’t rent a car and found public transportation very convenient. "

"가족 기념일을 위해서 예약한 숙소였고, 기대했던 만큼 깨끗한 객실, 객실에서 보이는 멋진 오션뷰, 잘 관리된 아름다운 정원, 인상적인 로비의 전경, 친절한 직원들에 대하여 아주 만족한 숙박이었습니다. 다만 아쉬웠던 점은 객실 내에서 나는 특이한 냄새가 고급호텔에 어울리는 냄새가 아니었어요.(저는 9층에 있는 오션뷰 룸에서 지냈습니다) 그리고 실내수영장 이용 시, 타올에서 너무 불쾌한 냄새가 났습니다. 이 부분만 보완되면 더욱 좋은 호텔이 될 수 있을 것 같습니다. 다음에 오키나와에 다시 간다면 또 이용하고 싶어요. "

"Rooms could use an update. Attended a wedding and wanted to check in a little early but not offered and asked to return after 3:00. Around 2:30 asked for a changing area and the staff checked on room status and let us in a little early. It would have been better if the first person we spoke with had at least checked the status of room and possibly accommodate an early check in. The fact the wedding and reception was held at the hotel with 200 people, one would think the hotel would try to assist with guests attending."

"The room was spacious and clean. I was welcomed with chocolate and a hand written card. I was pleasantly surprised by the public bath, which I didn't know exist when I made the booking. The breakfast buffet was good and they change the food slightly each day."
