"This hotel has seen better days, though I would hazard a guess that they were a long time ago. It needs a lot of work doing to it to bring it in line with modern hotels, even budget ones. Having a double room with the bed pushed up against the wall, so you can only get out on one side is a really poor layout. The bathroom was really quite grotty and the room just felt grimy. I was only staying because my flight landed after all the trains had finished running, but one night was a night too...

"Lovely hotel. Stayed with my wife for her birthday. We had a deluxe room which was quite a long walk from hotel reception. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was massive! Only negative points for the room were the amount of cobwebs and dust around light fittings and soundproofing between rooms. We could clearly hear people in other rooms using their toilet facilities. "Had a great stay here. Easy check in. Room was on the far side of the hotel so a few little stairs but that was fine. Room was as expected. A little dated but I've come to expect that. The swimming pool was great, good temperature. The sauna was also a lovely plus. There is a male one in the changing rooms and a female one in theirs respectively. "Wonderful stay. The setting is very peaceful and calm, after a 2 night stay we felt utterly replenished. The beds and pillows were large and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The spa is truly a gem here. Clean , was never crowded and relaxing. We never had any treatments but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Loved sitting outside the spa and eating after a relaxing spa session. Special mention to Victoria at the spa...
