"To Whom This May Concern, My name is Alisha McCarthy, and I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction regarding my recent stay at the Ramada in New Orleans from February 13th through February 16th. I traveled thousands of miles away from home expecting a safe, comfortable, and professionally managed hotel experience. Unfortunately, what I encountered was the complete opposite. The conditions of my stay, along with the safety concerns and maintenance issues we experienced, were unacceptable and significantly disrupted what should have been an enjoyable trip.I made my reservation on January 13, 2026 — a full month in advance — specifically because I understood that Mardi Gras weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in New Orleans.I planned ahead to avoid complications and to ensure that I would have the exact room type I selected. Upon arriving on February 13th, after being awake since 6:00 a.m. due to work and travel, I was informed that the room I originally booked was no longer available because it had been sold. I was shocked and extremely disappointed. I had a confirmed reservation and yet was told at check-in that my room was unavailable.There was no prior communication advising me of any changes to my reservation. I did not receive a phone call, email, or any notification explaining that my room would not be honored. After traveling such a long distance, this was not the welcome I expected.
