"Very happy to stay in hotel nice location"

"The hotel is in impecable conditions. The staff is excellent and professional. The Japanese breakfast is a beautiful experience for westerner, particularly if you want a quiet environment away from group tourists. The location is also a must as it is in a quiet neighborhood, close to subway. Highly recommendable."

"Spent two weeks in Japan and stayed at 4 hotels. This hotel was the best of the 4 I stayed in. Clean and nice. Feels like you’re in a new apartment. The location was perfect as well. Close to so many great places in Kyoto. If I had to do it again I would have stayed here longer."

"Has a shuttle bus from Kyoto station. Hotel Higayama"

"nice spacious room, comfortable beds, friendly staff, big bathroom, great shower, cleaned really nicely everyday, location is right in the middle of everything."

"Good location, everything is nearby (food, shopping, subway)."

"The rooms in the second floor, specially 222 can hear everytime the main entrance door is opening."

"First of all, I wanna say don’t be alarmed by the lack of reviews. The hotel is new, it just opened 3 months ago. For the price, the quality is outstanding. Big room and you have everything you need. They change the towels daily and tidy up the room, which is unusual for hotels in Japan. Most hotels claim to have eco-friendly service and don’t offer daily housekeeping. There’s a lounge for guests open from 7 AM to midnight with snacks, pastries and drinks, including alcohol. I wanna thank Igor...

"Ich fand es ärgerlich, dass man das Fenster nicht öffnen konnte. Ich fände es fair, wenn man dies in der Beschreibung des Zimmers angeben würde."

"Love the in-room washer and dryer unit. Be aware that it could take 2-3 hours for the drying cycle to complete."
