"Location great for town and next to Morrisons. Road noise not an issue as the traffic eases at 8ish. Very quiet in night. Super safe private parking. Own entry to rooms at back. I'd stay again - great value. "

"The room was fine, for such and old property without a straight wall or floors. Looking right across at the castle it was comfortable. Plenty of teas of different flavours and coffee on hand. Very welcoming hosts who let us use the parking permit through out our stay."

"It was convenient, but the parking, tho free, isn't quite as implied. You can't park at the property, but there are 2 car parks with free parking for up to 24 hours with no return in less than 4 hours. It was also mostly very clean. However, I dropped the top from an ointment while in the toilet/shower room. It went under what turned out to be a space under a cupboard and the shower which was such that I let the top remain wherever it was. "

"Arrived at the lodge and was greeted by 2 lovely hosts who showed us to our room and was very helpful and told us some very interesting facts about the lodges (an all girls school built before the ww2 I do believe ). The room was very clean and beautiful inside and the small window behind the bed overlooked the forest behind which was beautiful. Overall very quiet, the only bit of noise is people walking to and from their rooms as they are so close together but we was so tired we eventually...

"Room was lovely and cosy, clean and did the job for our two day stay. TV was a bit hit or miss. Only one small mirror in bathroom but no electric socket near the bathroom for drying or straighening hair, mirror in actual bedroom would have been very beneficial."
