"Although well located, our unit needed a fair amount of TLC. in particular, the sofas were very dirty. As for the beds, the mattress needed a full replacement. I had to sleep on the couch in order not to feel pain from my back. As for the service, we had a good experience with the restaurant personnel as well as the purser. But the reception employee provided a sub par service. A final word, this resort has not the structure for individuals having a mobility impairment. "

"We had an incredible time at Monte da Vilharinha. Driving into the property is like something out of a movie. The rural landscape boasts quintessential while buildings, herds of cows with bells, fields of flowers and streams. When we arrived we were greeted by Jafer and the property dog cookie. Jafer was the most incredible host guiding us around the property, letting us know where to take the (free) bikes and available to answer any questions via WhatsApp at any time. "The place was beautiful and the owners were beyond accommodating. We had so much fun relaxing at the pool and going to the beach in the morning. It’s a little outside of Lagos but definitely worth the stay"

"Loved the location and grounds, doing some work on property, some of cabanas and gazebos needed work. Great path to cliffs, and pathways great. Breakfast was great, lots of selection. Pools looked lovely. Part of facility ran out of water our 2nd night and part of next day, no coffee etc at breakfast or shower access. It did come back, but we were checking out. Loved the authentic feeling of it."

"Spectacular location on a cliff top overlooking a beautiful beach. Front desk and restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming. Shared the dining room with a noisy bus full, but otherwise had a very pleasant stay. Enjoyed a fine walk to the next town along, but not too near the cliffs to west of the Pousada. Booked a premium room, but offered a suite at no extra charge."

"This property was really nice. Seemed new. Thoughtful note and welcome basket. Receptionist was very friendly. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped. I highly recommend. My only caveat is to bring your own water as the water from the tap tasted undrinkable. "

"After a difficult start trying to find my villa on a cold rainy night because of the useless map given out at check-in, number 407 proved spacious and comfortable and the kitchenette well stocked and easy to use. The cleaning and support staff were all friendly. Breakfast when ordered was generous and good and it was a delight to be given fresh bread on the first morning. "Unfortunately we seem to have been given the worst unit despite all the others being empty! No heater, broken shower head, shower draining too slowly to cope with the flow, table dangerously unstable, toilet consistently running, bench sofas which weren’t comfortable at all. "
